Sophia was our first Italian Greyhound & our  foundation bitch bred by Cecelia Boyle & Diana Waugh.  She came to us at 10 weeks old & changed our lives totally.

 

She was our introduction in to the show ring.  She won her first CC & BOB at Crufts 1992 under Breed Specialist Mrs Annette Oliver & went on to make the cut for the final line up of the Toy Group under Lionel Hamilton Renwick.

 

She quickly gained her title & went on to win 6 CC's, 5 RCC's plus the Champion Stakes under judge Peggy Grayson & several BIS's at IG Club Shows.

 

Her first litter by Ch Dairylane Savoir-Faire produced our first home bred Champion, Ch Salatini Valentino.

 

A later unplanned liaison between Sophia & Valentino produced our second home bred Champion, Ch Salatini Romeo.

 

Sophia died peacefully in her sleep in 2005 at 15 years of age, she left a huge void in our lives, the most stunning show girl, fabulous bed warmer & the best thief of anything edible i've ever known.
